In today’s world, even living an ordinary life can feel like an impossible task. Chi-soo, a struggling college student juggling school and part-time jobs to support his sick mother and autistic younger brother, is stuck in a never-ending cycle of survival. His modest dream is simple: to one day have a peaceful, loving family. But with mounting tuition fees, medical bills, and living expenses, even that small hope feels out of reach.
One day, Chi-soo finds a spark of joy in his grim reality when he develops a crush on a kind female customer during a pizza delivery. Her warmth and kindness become a rare source of comfort in his otherwise colorless life.
The characters in this story, like many of us, don’t truly understand how the world works. It’s only after time has passed that they realize, like frogs in a well, how narrow their view was. Driven by personal desires and limited perspectives, they chase their own truths — truths they may know deep down, but are too afraid to confront.
We wanted to portray the world we live in — not through polished cinematic realism, but through raw, authentic “real-reality,” laced with humor. The black garbage bag full of cash found at a murder scene becomes a symbol of every person's hidden desires, unfiltered by morality. It reflects the inner world of those who chase dreams at the cost of their conscience.
What happens when someone is tempted by money — by a dream? How does that change a person?
Synopsis
Chi-soo, a college student, is the sole provider for his family — including his autistic younger brother and his ailing mother. Working as a pizza delivery man, he scrapes by on weekly wages while struggling to pay for tuition and daily necessities. As if things couldn't get worse, he is suddenly burdened with a settlement fee from a traffic accident.
His dream of a “normal and happy family” feels more distant than ever. With little meaning left in his life, Chi-soo unexpectedly finds solace in a small act of kindness from a female customer. Her simple gesture leads him into a one-sided love that brings him rare moments of happiness.
But one day, everything changes. Chi-soo finds her dead in her home — and next to her, a black garbage bag stuffed with bundles of cash. His life spirals out of control. The money disappears. Suspicion grows. And Chi-soo becomes a prime suspect in a murder investigation.
Now framed and desperate, Chi-soo sets out to clear his name and uncover the truth behind the murder.
But how far will he go, and what will it cost him?
